From Naples to Your Neighborhood
'AlderHeath was born from a deep-rooted vision: to offer true Neapolitan pizza in London. The Romano family opened our doors in 1985, beginning as a modest family-owned shop with time-honored recipes passed down for generations.
Tony Romano, our founder, mastered the craft of pizza during her time in Italy, learning from esteemed pizza masters in Naples, the cradle of pizza. When she came back to the UK, she aimed to re-create the wonder of genuine Italian pizza, adhering to traditional methods and sourcing only top-tier ingredients.
Originally a quaint 12-person eatery, we've now blossomed into a cherished local venue, yet our dedication to excellence and genuine practices remains intact. We continue to employ traditional wood-fired oven techniques, daily fresh-made dough, and procure the best ingredients available.
To this day, 'AlderHeath is still under the care of the Romano family, with the second generation leading our devoted workforce. While we have adopted innovative touches, the essence of our operation—the crafting of delicious, traditional pizza that unites patrons—stays unchanged.
